After six intense, inspiring, and successful years, HYG Restaurant & Bar will close its doors at the end of September 2026.
What began as a vision grew into a place filled with memorable moments and meaningful connections. Together with our team, our guests, and our partners, we were able to shape HYG into everything we had ever dreamed of. Over the past six years, we achieved everything we set out to accomplish gastronomically—from creative concepts and unforgettable culinary experiences to a truly unique atmosphere. For this, we are deeply grateful.
Our greatest thanks go to our incredible team, whose passion and dedication have shaped HYG every single day. We are especially grateful for the inspiring collaboration with our head chef, Felix Kattchin, which has been a true pleasure. We would also like to thank our loyal guests, who have supported us throughout the years and placed their trust in us time and time again.
Until the end of September, we’re giving it our all. Until 20 September, we look forward to sharing many more wonderful moments with our guests and giving HYG the farewell it deserves.

Our wine cellar holds up to 500 carefully curated positions, selected by our sommelier Lukas. From rare and unicorn wines to everyday bottles with great value, there is something for every taste and occasion.
At home in the heart of Switzerland
You will find us in Weggis – in the heart of Central Switzerland. From Lucerne, Zug or Schwyz you are in Weggis within 20-30 minutes by car. From Zurich it’s 40 minutes. HYG is not directly on the lake, but only a few steps separate away. A trip to Weggis is well worth it.
Enjoy the magic of the lake and the power of the mountains during a long walk. Due to the mild microclimate, we have a wide range of agriculture in Weggis.
